Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above named Order . The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time (double yellow lines) at the following locations:- Elmstead Place, Folkestone - On the southern side of the road, from the junction with The Tram Road, for a distance of 2 metres in a westerly direction. London Street, Folkestone - On both sides of the road, from the junction with The Tram Road, for a distance of 6.7m in a westerly direction. On the western side of the road, from the junction with Elmstead Place, for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

Highway Improvements - High Street, Sittingbourne
Kent County Council Highways are proposing an improvement scheme for High Street, Sittingbourne that includes - Repairing Street Lighting columns, bollards, metal litter bins and benches; enhancing the gateway to the High Street with new signs; the installation of an information point, new benches, pedestrian warning signs and 20mph repeater signs.

B2163 Heath Road, Coxheath - Important Road Closure Information
We were unable to complete the planned carriageway resurfacing works on Heath Road over the weekend of the 30th & 31st August 2014 due to safety issues for the operatives on site and will therefore need to re-close Heath Road through the centre of Coxheath to complete this phase of work. We will be closing Heath Road on Saturday 20th September from 7am to 6pm and Sunday 21st September 2014 from 7am to 6pm in order to carry out the remaining works. I would like to apologise for any inconvenience this additional road closure may cause. Local business premises will remain open throughout the closure and we will ensure that access will be maintained were it is safe to do so. Local bus services will be terminating outside Coxheath library throughout the period of the road closure.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council has made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to :- Reduce from 50mph to 40mph: Canterbury Road West (1) From the Cliffsend roundabout to a point 105 metres west of the western boundary of number 54. (2) From a point 73 metres east of the eastern boundary of number 2 to a point 140 metres west of the northern Lord of the Manor roundabout. Reduce from 40mph to 30mph: Sandwich Road - From a point 200 metres west of the western boundary of number 131 to a point 75 metres east of its junction with Cliffs End Road. Reduce from Derestricted to 40mph: Sandwich Road - From a point 200 metres west of the western boundary of number 131 for a distance of 300 metres in a westerly direction.

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make the above named Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act: The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time at the following locations:- (a) Dorman Avenue North, Aylesham - On both sides from its junction with Market Place for a distance of 45m. Start of Works Notice - Chequers Road/Capel Street Pedestrian Improvements
Kent County Council is planning to install a new zebra crossing to assist people crossing the road in the vicinity of the St Georges CE Primary School and also to increase driver awareness of the school with some new warning signs. The plan overleaf shows details of the proposals. This project is intended to improve road safety and make it easier for pedestrians to cross the road, particularly the children and their parents attending the St Georges CE Primary School.
