Tontine Street, Folkestone - Proposed bus gate to provide access to Tontine Street from the A2033 Dover Road
Detailed investigations have been carried out to look at providing a bus gate at the northern end of Tontine Street from Dover Road to the junction of The Tram Road. The proposed bus gate will allow access for buses, taxis and cyclists only. This will give this traffic a more direct access to the harbour area.

The Kent County Council (Borough of Maidstone) (Goods Vehicle Loading Bay) Order 2015 (Made)
The Kent County Council, hereby makes the following Order:- The effect of the named Order (Goods Vehicle Loading Bay) will implement new restrictions in the following lengths of road, in that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait during the restricted hours in any loading area specified unless it is of the specified class and being used for the loading or unloading of goods in connection with nearby trade or business premises. TONBRIDGE ROAD:- South side, from a point 122metres northeast of its junction with Farleigh Lane for a distance of 20metres in north-easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given that The Kent County Council hereby makes the following Order, the effect of which would be to:- Implement a 50 mile per hour speed limit in Deal Road (A258), Guston, Dover from a point 14 metres northeast of its junction with Upper Road to point 114 metres southwest of its junction with Duke of York roundabout junction. A copy of the Order, which comes into effect on Wednesday 20th May 2015 and an explanatory statement and a plan showing the area of road concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at The Dover District Council Offices, White Cliffs Business Park, Dover, Kent, CT16 3PJ, Kent County Council, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ and at the offices of the Kent County Council, Ashford Highway Depot, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, TN24 8AD.

The Kent County Council (Chatham Road, Boxley) (County of Kent) (One Way) Experimental Order 2015
The Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of their powers under Sections 9 and 10 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act of 1984, hereby makes the following Order:- CHATHAM ROAD, BOXLEY (adjacent to southbound A229 Blue Bell Hill) That length of Chatham Road (Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council) which extends from its junction with A229 Blue Bell Hill southbound (Shell Garage) entry-slip in a southerly direction to its junction with Tollgate Way (Maidstone Borough Council) The Order making authority will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should continue in force indefinitely and should they be made permanent a further notice shall be published.

Notice is hereby given that Kent County Council has made the above named Order. The effect of this Order will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time in the following lengths of road: (a) Common Lane, River (b) Valley Road, River (c)River Street, River The effect of this Order will introduce a prohibition of waiting Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm in the following lengths of road: (a) Common Lane, River. Full details are contained in the Order which, together with the relevant plans, any Orders amended by this Order and a statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined during normal office hours at Kent County Council, Ashford Highway Depot, Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AD, at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ and online at www.consultations.kent.gov.uk.

Bank Street, Ashford - Reconditioning Scheme
The existing surface has worn out and become damaged. We want to provide a brand new surface, designed to last well into the future, to improve the image of Ashford Town Centre and minimise maintenance requirements going forward. We will replace the existing damaged paving on the eastern side of Elwick Road (‘lower Bank Street’), Bank Street and part of Tufton Street with a new granite surface designed to withstand vehicle loadings that have caused damage in the past. We are also going to take the opportunity to carry out important maintenance works in the streets at the same time.
