The Kent County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (Traffic Calming – High Street And New Street, Sandwich)
NOTICE is hereby given that Kent County Council proposes to install a system of Traffic Calming (raised tables) as follows: 1.Flat top road hump (raised table), approximately 20mm in height over the full width of the carriageway on High Street, south of the junction of upper Strand Street outside the Carole Ridley shop. 2.Flat top road hump (raised table), approximately 40mm in height over the full width of the carriageway on High Street, from a point fronting number 45 extending for a distance of 9m, including ramps to the boundary of numbers 49 and 51. 3.Flat top road hump (raised table), approximately 75mm in height over the full width of the carriageway on New Street, north of the junction of St George’s Road opposite The Rope Walk. 4.Flat top road hump (raised table), approximately 55mm in height over the full width of the carriageway on New Street, north of the junction of Galliard Street from a point fronting number 66.

The Kent County Council (Chatham Road, Boxley) (County of Kent) (One Way) Experimental Order 2015
The Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of their powers under Sections 9 and 10 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act of 1984, hereby makes the following Order:- CHATHAM ROAD, BOXLEY (adjacent to southbound A229 Blue Bell Hill) That length of Chatham Road (Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council) which extends from its junction with A229 Blue Bell Hill southbound (Shell Garage) entry-slip in a southerly direction to its junction with Tollgate Way (Maidstone Borough Council) The Order making authority will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the experimental Order should continue in force indefinitely and should they be made permanent a further notice shall be published.

The effect of this Order will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time in the following lengths of road: (a) Common Lane, River (b) Valley Road, River (c)River Street, River The effect of this Order will introduce a prohibition of waiting Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm in the following lengths of road: (a) Common Lane, River. Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Order and the effect of which would be to:- Implement 30 mph speed limits in Hildenborough in the following roads 1. LEIGH ROAD; from its jxn with Tonbridge Road to a point 9 metres southwest of the western building line of property No.114 Leigh Rd 2. LONDON ROAD; from its jxn with Shipbourne Rd in a north westerly direction to a point 72 metres northwest of its north-western jxn with Foxbush 3. NOBLE TREE ROAD; from its jxn with London Rd in a westerly direction for a distance of 43 metres 4. RIDING LANE; from a point 53 metres northeast of its jxn with Riding Park south westwards to its jxn with Tonbridge Rd 5. Drainage and Local Flood Risk Policy Statement
As Lead Local Flood Authority within Kent, KCC is now required to provide consultation responses on the surface water drainage provisions associated with major development to Local Planning Authorities. A draft Policy Statement has been prepared which sets out how we will review surface water management within major development applications. Have your say on the draft Policy Statement.

The Kent County Council (Bradbourne Lane and The Stream, Ditton) (Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2015
The Kent County Council, acting as the Highway Authority, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) 2(1) to (3) and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) as amended, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, has made the following Order:- The effect of the proposed Order will introduce ‘Prohibition of Driving’ restriction with the effect that no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in any of the lengths of road set out in the following lengths of road. Bradbourne Lane, Aylesford From a point 25 metres southeast of the common boundary of properties 63 and 65 Bradbourne Lane to its junction with The Stream. The Stream, Aylesford From the junction with Bradbourne Lane to a point 23 metres northwest of the junction with the northern arm of The Stream.

Bank Street, Ashford - Reconditioning Scheme
The existing surface has worn out and become damaged. We want to provide a brand new surface, designed to last well into the future, to improve the image of Ashford Town Centre and minimise maintenance requirements going forward. We will replace the existing damaged paving on the eastern side of Elwick Road (‘lower Bank Street’), Bank Street and part of Tufton Street with a new granite surface designed to withstand vehicle loadings that have caused damage in the past. We are also going to take the opportunity to carry out important maintenance works in the streets at the same time.
