NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council has made an Order under Sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to:- Make the section of Caxton Road ONE WAY, from its junction with Fulham Avenue, in a north westerly direction to its junction with Westfield Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council has made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to :- Reduce the speed limit from the National Limit to 50mph on A28 CANTERBURY ROAD From a point 135 metres southwest of its junction with Seamark Road in a south-westerly direction to a point 5 metres northeast of its junction with St Nicholas roundabout.

Sandwich Road, Cliffsend Village - Highway Improvement Scheme
Following on from the works on Canterbury Road West, we will be completing the scheme on Sandwich Road. This will include the construction of a signalised gateway feature west of the petrol filling station, a raised Zebra crossing near Foads Lane, a raised table junction at Cliffs End Grove, mini-roundabouts at Meverall Avenue and Cliffsend Road junctions. The existing build-out near chalk Hill will be removed and a 30mph speed limit will be signed between Cliffsend Road and the petrol station.

The Kent County Council (Various Roads , Kent) 30MPH Speed Limit Experimental Order 2014
Kent County Council as the local traffic authority has made the above named Experimental Order for a period of no more than 18 months to ensure the existing 30mph speed limit remains enforceable in those roads listed in the Order which are subject to the Safe & Sensible Street Lighting trail switch off. The reasons for making the order are for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Kent County Council is implementing a Trial Switch-off of Surplus Lights at a number of sites across the county, as part of its Safe and Sensible Street Lighting policy. This aims to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions to protect frontline services.
