(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) AMENDMENT No.21 ORDER 2018

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council hereby makes the above named Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to:-

Due to a new cycle route being developed in northeast Tunbridge Wells this section will be designed as an on-carriageway cycle facility which would require the introduction of 20mph zones in the following roads;

  1. Belgrave Road: for its entire length
  2. Tunnel Road: For its entire length
  3. Goods Station Road: From its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with Jackwood Way
  4. Hill Street: For its entire length
  5. Mercer Street: For its entire length
  6. Jackwood Way: For its entire length
  7. Stanley Road: For its entire length
  8. Norman Road: For its entire length
  9. Commerical Road: For its entire length
  10. Beech Street: For its entire length
  11. Kirkdale Road: For its entire length
  12. Brook Road: For its entire length
  13. Brooklands: For its entire length
  14. Blake Way: For its entire length
  15. Rymers Close: For its entire length
  16. Hillcrest Drive: For its entire length
  17. Oak Road: For its entire length
  18. Trebilco Close: For its entire length
  19. Clifton Road: For its entire length
  20. Laurel Road: For its entire length
  21. Laurel Way: For its entire length
  22. Rankine Road: For its entire length
  23. Caley Road: For its entire length

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ and at The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD during normal office hours or downloaded from the consultation document section below.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.
