VARIATION No.14 ORDER 2018

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 3 (2), 4 (1) and (2), 32 (1), 35 (1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions in the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time

Roads in Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone

 BANNISTER ROAD – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Hillary Road for a distance of 15 metres. GRANVILLE ROAD – DYL – (1) On the northern side from the junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 73 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) On the southern side from the junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 12 metres in a north westerly direction. GRECIAN STREET – DYL – (1) On both sides from the junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 12 metres. (2) SYL – On the north eastern side from a point 12 metres south east of its junction with Boxley Road to the junction with Wheeler Street. HILLARY ROAD – DYL- (1) On both sides from the junction with Bannister Road to a point 10 metres west and 15 metres east. (2) On both sides from the common boundary of No’s 23/25 to the gable end of No 39 Hillary Road. SALISBURY ROAD – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south easterly direction.

Roads in Thurnham in the Borough of Maidstone

 AREODROME APPROACH – DYL – On the northern side from a point 8 metres from the eastern kerbline of the Private Road to the western kerbline of Bimbury Lane.

The following items to be removed.

GRANVILLE ROAD – DYL - On both sides from the junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 12 metres. GRECIAN STREET – SYL - (1) On the north eastern side from a point 13 metres from the junction with Wheeler Street to the junction with Boxley Road. (2) On the south western side from its junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 12 metres. SALISBURY ROAD – SYL – On both sides from the junction with Boxley Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south easterly direction.

A statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ, and at The Kent County Council, Kent Highway & Transportation, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD during normal office hours or viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations.
