(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF MAIDSTONE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) VARIATION No.18 ORDER 2019

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 3 (2), 4 (1) and (2), 32 (1), 35 (1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following order:-

The effect of the made Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time

Roads in Boxley in the Borough of Maidstone

 BLACKSMITH DRIVE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Provender Way for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction. FRANKLIN DRIVE – DYL - On southern side from the junction with Grovewood Drive South for a distance of 6 metres west and 21 metres east. GROVEWOOD DRIVE SOUTH – DYL - On the southern side from the junction with Franklin Drive for a distance of 6 metres west and 21 metres east. HARVESTERS WAY – DYL - (1) On the eastern side from its junction with Grovewood Drive South for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the western side from its junction with Grovewood Drive South for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction. PROVENDER WAY – DYL - (1) On the northern-eastern side from its junction with Restharrow Road for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the north-eastern side from a point 10 metres north-east and 14 metres south-west of its junction Wingrove Drive. (3) On the south-western side from a point 10 metres north and 10 metres south of its junction with Wagoners Close. (4) On the south-western side from appoint 6 metres north and 6 metres south of its junction with Shearers Close. (5) On the south-western side from its northern junction with Blacksmith Drive for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. (6) On the south-western side from a point 8 metres north and 6 metres south of its junction with Threshers Drive. RESTHARROW DRIVE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Provender Way for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction. SHEARERS CLOSE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Provender Way for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction. THRESHERS DRIVE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Provender Way for a distance of 18 metres in a westerly direction. WAGONERS CLOSE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Provender Way for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. WINGROVE DRIVE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Provender Way for a distance of 15 metres in a south-easterly direction.

 SPRINGFIELD – DYL - (1) On the northern side from its junction with Royal Engineers Road for a distance of 62 metres in a south-westerly direction. (2) On the southern side from its junction with Royal Engineers Road for a distance of 67 metres in a north-easterly direction. (3) Around the entire circumference of the island at the junction with Springfield and Royal Engineers Road and of the centre carriageway island of Springfield.

 The Order was made on 25 February and its provisions will come into effect on 4 March 2019.

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended by the Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ; The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD during normal office hours or viewed on line at www.consultations.kent.gov.uk

 Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
