(TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2018

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Kent County Council acting as the local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order: -

  1. The Kent County Council’s above-named Order proposes to amend the days of the week the PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AT SPECIFIED TIMES apply to include Sundays in the following roads or lengths of roads in Faversham.

10:00am to 4:00pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

  1. i) COURT STREET – from the junction with Market Place to the junction with Crescent Road.
  1. ii) MARKET PLACE – for the entire length
  1. iii) MARKET STREET - for the entire length
  1. iv) MIDDLE ROW - for the entire length
  1. v) WEST STREET – from the junction with Market Place to a point in line with the boundary of 121 and 122 West Street.
  1. The above-named Order proposes to retain the existing PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AT ALL TIMES restrictions in the following roads or lengths of roads in Faversham.

WEST STREET; Faversham, which extends from its junction with South Road and North Lane to a point in line with boundary of 121 and 122 West Street.

  1. The above-named Order proposes ONE-WAY STREET restrictions in the following roads or lengths of roads in Faversham.
  2. i) COURT STREET; between its junction with Crescent Road and its junction with Market Place, (South-westwards towards Market Place).
  1. ii) MARKET PLACE (both arms); south-westwards towards Market Street,
  1. iii) MARKET STREET; south-westwards towards Preston Street, (south-westwards towards Preston Street).
  1. iv) EAST STREET; between its junction with Newton Road and its junction with Preston Street,

(westwards towards Preston Street).

  1. v) PRESTON STREET; between its junction with East Street and its junction with Stone Street,

(south-westwards towards Stone Street).

  1. The above-named Order proposes to retain the existing PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN restrictions in the following roads or lengths of roads in Faversham.
  2. i) CRESCENT ROAD; Faversham, proceeding southwards to make a right turn into East Street.

PRESTON STREET; Faversham, proceeding southwards to make a right turn into Stone Street.
