(VARIOUS ROADS, GRAVESHAM) (STOPPING, WAITING, AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS, PARKING PLACES AND CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES)

(AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2018

NOTICE is hereby given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, (‘the Council’) acting as the local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), of part of IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and as amended by the Traffic Regulation Act 2004 Part 6 and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Office of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following order:-

The effect of the made Order is to introduce double yellow lines following lengths of roads:-

CROCKENHALL WAY - On both sides from the junction with Biddenden Way for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.

BIDDENDEN WAY - On both sides from a point 10 metres north west and 10 metres south east of its junction with Crockenhall Way.

ISTEAD RISE - On the northern side from a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Brookside Rise.

BROOKSIDE ROAD – (1) On the east side from its junction with Istead Rise for a distance of 13 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Istead Rise for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.

ELLERSLIE – (1) On the eastern side from its junction with Milton Road for a distance of 24 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On the western side from its junction with Milton Road for a distance of 26 metres in a south easterly direction. (3) On both sides from a point 10 metres north east and 5 metres south west of its junction with Cooper Beech Close.

MILTON ROAD - On both sides from a point 60 metres east and 17 metres west of its junction with Ellerslie.

SYCAMORE CLOSE - On both sides from the junction with Cooper Beech close for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

COOPER BEECH CLOSE – (1) On both sides from the junction with Ellerslie for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On both sides from a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Sycamore Close. 

The Order was made on 29 November and its provisions will come into effect on 3 December 2018.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
