AMENDMENT No.9 ORDER 2018

Notice is hereby given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the local traffic authority and in exercise of their powers and under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 44, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 makes the following Order:

The effect of the named Order introduces “at any time” waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) in the following lengths of road:

CHERITON COURT ROAD

On the eastern side from the junction with Church Road for a distance of 15 metres.

CHERITON COURT ROAD

On the western side from the junction with Church Road for a distance of 26 metres.

CHURCH ROAD

On the north-eastern side from a point 4 metres opposite the south-eastern boundary of number 135/137 Church Road for a distance of 52 metres in a southeasterly direction.

On the south-western side from a point 4 metres south east of the boundary of number 135/137 Church Road for a distance of 86.8 metres in a south-easterly direction.

A copy of the Order, an explanatory statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ, at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AD or downloaded from the consultation document section below.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.

On the east side of the road, from the junction with Church Road for a distance of 15 metres.

On the west side of the road, from the junction with Church Road for a distance of 26 metres.

CHURCH ROAD

On the north east side of the road, opposite a point 4 metres south east of the boundary of no.135/137 Church Road, in a south easterly direction for a distance of 52 metres.

CHURCH ROAD

On the south west side of the road from the junction with Cheriton Court Road to a point 4 metres east of the boundary of no.135/137 Church Road.

CHURCH ROAD

On the south west side of the road between the junctions of Cheriton Court Road and Pond Hill Road.

A copy of the proposed Order, the relevant map and statement of reasons can be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ or at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, TN24 8AD or downloaded from the consultation document section below.
