(AMENDMENT No. 19) ORDER 2018

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 3 (2), 4 (1) and (2), 32 (1), 35 (1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following order:-

The effect of the Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions in the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time

 Roads in Ramsgate

 AUGUSTINE ROAD – DYL – (1) on both sides from the junction with Freemans Road for a distance of 10 metres. (2) On the northern side from the western boundary of 23 for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction. (3) On the southern side from the junction with Egbert Road for a distance of 10 metres. EGBERT ROAD – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Augustine Road for a distance of 10 metres. FAIRFIELD ROAD – DYL – (1) On both sides from the junction with Tothill Street for a distance of 10 metres. (2) On both side from the junction with Greenhill Gardens to the eastern boundary of 23 Fairfield Road. FREEMANS ROAD – DYL – (1) On both sides from the junction with Greenhill Gardens to the northern building line of 40 Freemans Road. (2) Both sides from the junction with Augustine Road for a distance of 10 metres. FOXBOROUGH LANE – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Tothill Street for a distance of 10 metres. GREENHILL GARDENS – DYL – (1) On both sides from the junction with Fairfield Road to the southern side of 56 Greenhill Gardens. (2) On both sides from the southern side of 4 Greenhill Gardens to the junction with Freemans Road. HIGH STREET (MINSTER) – DYL – On the western side join up the existing lines outside 42 High Street. LAUNDRY ROAD – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Tothill Street for a distance of 185 metres. MOLINEUX ROAD – SYL – Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.00 - On the southern side from the eastern boundary of 17 Molineux Road for a distance of 16 metres in a south easterly direction. MONKTON ROAD – DYL – On the northern side from the junction with Tothill Street for a distance of 45 metres. ROSE GARDENS – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Tothill Street for a distance of 10 metres. ST MILDREDS ROAD – DYL – (1) On the northern side from the junction with Station Road for a distance of 70 metres. (2) On the southern side from the junction with Station Road for a distance of 50 metres. TAYLOR ROAD – DYL – (1) On the eastern side from the junction with Monkton Road for a distance of 40 metres. (2) On the western side from the junction with Monkton Road for a distance of 10 metres. THORNE ROAD – DYL – On both sides from the western boundary of 17 Thorne Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction. TOTHILL STREET – DYL – (1) On the western side from the junction with Monkton Road for a distance of 10 metres. (2) On both sides from the junction with Fairfield Road for a distance of 10 metres. (3) On both sides from the junction with Rose Gardens for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction and 35 metres in a northerly direction. (4) On the eastern side from the northern boundary of 9 Tothill Street for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction. (5) On both sides from the junction with Foxborough Lane for a distance of 10 metres.

The Order was made on 30 August 2018 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 September 2018.

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended by the Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ; The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD and at Thanet Gateway Plus during normal office hours or viewed on line at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations

 Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
