THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, THE DISTRICT OF SEVENOAKS)

(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) A

MENDMENT NO. 20 ORDER 2018

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council has made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to:-

Implement a 30mph speed limit in:

  1. Dartford Road, Farningham from its junction with High Street to its junction with Main Road.

Implement a 40mph speed limit in:

  1. Dartford Road, Farningham from its junction with Main Road to its junction with Calfstock Lane.
  2. Dartford Road, Horton Kirby and South Darenth from its junction with Calfstock Lane northwards for a distance of 1068 metres
  3. Main Road, Farningham from its junction with London Road to its junction with Eglantine Lane.
  4. Gorse Hill, Farningham from its junction with Eglantine Lane eastwards for a distance of 290 metres..

The Order was made on 17 September 2018 and its provisions will come into effect on 15 October 2018.

A copy of the Order, an explanatory statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ or at the offices of the Ashford Highways Depot, Javelin Way, Henwood Industrial Estate, Ashford, TN24 8AD or downloaded from the Consultation Documents section below.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.
