Update - June 2018

The responses received during this consultation, whilst in support of the idea of a quiet route between the two locations proposed, did raise concerns regarding the route taken.

As a result of this feedback, a new proposed route has now been reviewed and an alternative option suggested. For details of the feedback and how we have modified the suggested route, please see the consultation page for Phase 2 of this project.

Gravesend Station to Cyclopark Cycle Route - Phase 2

Thank you to everyone who took part in this consultation.

Your feedback has been considered by officers at KCC and a further consultation will be open shortly.

The Consultation Report and Appendices are available to download below.

We would like to receive your views and comments on the proposal for a signed cycle route between Gravesend Station and the Cyclopark.

The route aims to act as a quieter alternative to the existing cycle lane on the busy A227, used predominantly by experienced cyclists. By offering a quieter alternative route we aim to provide a more attractive route for the less experienced cyclists, helping them to gain confidence whilst encouraging everyday cycling.

The design for the new quieter cycle route aims to keep the route traffic free wherever possible by creating separate cycle lanes on the road or shared use pedestrian and cycle paths.
