THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) CONSOLIDATION AMENDMENT No.34 ORDER 2018

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called "the Act"), and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, has made the following Order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time

Roads in Dartford

Schedule No. 5.01: No waiting at any time

Cadogan Avenue – (1) To add DYL on the north side from the junction with Clarendon Gardens for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction; (2) To add DYL on the south side from its junction with Clarendon Gardens for a distance of 18 metres in an easterly direction; (3) To remove DYL’s along the south side from its junction with Clarendon Gardens in an easterly direction for a distance of 16 metres; (4) To remove DYL’s along the north side from the boundary of numbers 14/15 in a westerly direction of 16 metres.

Clarendon Gardens – (1) To add DYL on the eastern side from a point 10 metres north of its junction with Cadogan Avenue in a northerly direction to a point in line with the northern property line of 7 Clarendon Gardens; (2) To remove DYL’s on the east side of the road to a point 10 metres north and 8 metres south of the northern kerbline of Cadogan Avenue; (3) To remove DYL’s both sides from a point 10 metres south of its junction with Cadogan Avenue in a northerly direction to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Cadogan Avenue.

The effect of the named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions in the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice SYL means single yellow lines) Waiting to be prohibited Monday to Friday 10am to 11am.

Roads in Swanscombe

Schedule No. 6.13: No waiting Mon – Friday 10 -11 am - The Grove – SYL – (1) On the

south-east side from a point 3 metres north-east of the north-eastern property boundary of No. 15 in a south-westerly direction to the north-eastern property boundary of No. 39; (2) On the south-west side from a point 26 metres north-west of the north-western property boundary of Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

Schedule No. 6.20: No waiting Mon – Sunday 10 -11 am -The following are to be removed from The Kent County Council (Various Roads, Dartford) (Waiting Restrictions & Street Parking Places) (Greenhithe CPZ) Order 2010: - The Grove – (1) The south-east side from a point 3 metres north-east of the north-eastern property boundary of No. 15 in a south-westerly direction to the north-eastern property boundary of No. 39; (2) The south-west side from a point 26 metres north-west of the north-western property boundary of Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

The Order was made on 30 August 2018 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 September 2018.

A copy of the proposed Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ and at The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation& Waste, Ashford Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD during normal office hours or viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.

Hawley Road – (1) To add DYL from the south eastern boundary of 115 for a distance of 15 metres in a north westerly direction.

 A statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ, at Dartford Borough Council Offices, Civic Centre, Home Gardens, Dartford, Kent DA1 1DR and at The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD during normal office hours or viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations.

 If you wish to offer support or object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds in writing to The TRO Co-ordinator, Schemes Planning & Delivery Team, Highways, Transportation & Waste, Kent County Council, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Javelin Way, Ashford, TN24 8AD or by email to TRO@kent.gov.uk by 12 noon Monday 17th September 2018.
