(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) No.04 ORDER 2018

 

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, (herein referred to as “the Council”) acting as the local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as the “Act of 1984”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act, hereby makes the following Order:-

To introduce or amend the double yellow lines (DYL’s) (No waiting at any time) restrictions in the following roads

 

Highgate Hill, Hawkhurst, on both sides from the southern boundary of number 2 Highgate hill to the southern boundary of 4 Highgate Hill

Herschel Place, Hawkhurst, on both sides from its junction with Highgate Hill for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction

The Order was made on 1 November 2018 and its provisions will come into effect on 5 November 2018.

A copy of the Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended by the Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ; The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD and at Thanet Gateway Plus during normal office hours or viewed on line at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations Or download from the consultation document section below’.

 

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
