(VARIOUS ROADS, THE BOROUGH OF MAIDSTONE)

(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) AMENDMENT No.33 ORDER 2019

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -

The Boughton Monchelsea Parish Council has requested Kent County Council in the above-named Order to reduce the various speed limits for safety reasons in the following roads or lengths of roads;

1. To implement 20mph Speed Limit in the following roads or length of roads

i) CHURCH STREET

 

From its junction with Heath Road to its junction with Green Lane.

ii) GREEN LANE

From its junction with Church Street to a point 14 metres southeast of its junction with Meadow View Road.

iii) HASTE HILL ROAD

From a point 21 metres west of its junction with Haste Hill Close to its northeastern junction with Beresfords Hill including its eastern length to its junction with Church Street.

iv) THE GREEN

From its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Beresfords Hill (including the sections which junction with Haste Hill Road).

v) THE QUARRIES

From its junction with Bottlescrew Hill to its junction with Cliff Hill.

2. To implement 30mph Speed Limits in the following roads or length of roads

i) HASTE HILL ROAD

 

From its junction with Hubbard’s Lane to a point 21 metres east of its junction with Haste Hill Close.

ii) GREEN LANE

From a point 14 metres southeast of its junction with Meadow View Road to a point 182 metres east of that junction.

3. To implement 40mph Speed Limit in the following roads or length of roads

i) BERESFORDS HILL:

 

From its junction with Haste Hill Road to its junction with The Quarries.

ii) BOTTLESCREW HILL:

From its junction with Cliff Hill Road to its junction with The Quarries.

Full details and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ, and at The Kent County Council, Kent Highway & Transportation, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD during normal office hours or downloaded from the Consultation Documents section below.
