(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS)   AMENDMENT No.39 ORDER 2019

 

   Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order.

The effect of the made Order is to change the current 40MPH & 60MPH speed limit to 30MPH on the following length of roads:- CHURCH HILL, BOUGHTON MONCHELSEA - From the junction with Heath Road for a distance of 315 meters in a southerly direction.

And to extend the current 30MPH speed limit on the following length of road:- DARMAN LANE, YALDING - For a distance of 75 metres in a south-wards direction.

The Order was made on 15 July 2019 and its provisions will come into effect on 22 July 2019.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
