VARIATION No.16 ORDER 2018

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council acting as the local Traffic Authority intends to make the above-named Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -

Due to access issues for HGV’s in a section of Beddow Way and the construction of the new Aylesford Business Park Units 1-7 on the south-western side of St Michaels Close, it has become necessary to implement or amend the double yellow lines (DYL’s) (No waiting at any time) restrictions in the following roads or lengths of roads in Beddow Way and St Michaels Close, Aylesford, Maidstone;

BEDDOW WAY;

(1) on the south-eastern side from a point 96.55 metres northeast of its north-eastern junction with St Michaels Close in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 199 metres;

(2) on the north-western side from a point 66.5 metres northeast of its north-eastern junction of St Michaels Close for a distance of 175 metres in a south-westerly direction.

ST MICHAELS CLOSE;

a) on the north-eastern side from its junction with Beddow Way in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 141 metres then in an easterly direction for a distance of 29 metres.

b) on the south-western side from the eastern kerbline of Beddow Way in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the access to the Kent County Councils’ Aylesford Depot.

ST MICHAELS CLOSE (access to Waitrose Car Park);

On the south-western side from the kerbline of St. Michaels Close, both sides in a southwesterly direction to the Highway boundary

ST MICHAELS CLOSE (accesses to Aylesford Business Park, Units 1-7);

On the south-western side, both accesses from the kerbline of St Michaels Close, both sides in a southwesterly direction to the Highway boundary

A copy of the proposed Order, statement of the Council’s reasons for making the proposed Order, a map indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the proposed Order may be examined on Mondays to Friday at The Kent County Council, Sessions House, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ, at The Kent County Council, Highway, Transportation & Waste, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Unit 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 8AD and at Maidstone Gateway, King Street, Maidstone, Kent ME15 6JQ during normal office hours or viewed online at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations
