(20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH SPEED LIMITS AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) AMENDMENT NO.36

ORDER 2019 

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order.

Due to the new residential development adjacent to Ulcombe Road, Headcorn, Maidstone, Kent County Council in the above-named Order proposes to reduce the national speed limit and extend the 30 MPH speed limit for safety reasons in the following length of road;

Ulcombe Road, Headcorn – To extend the 30MPH speed limit by 176 metres in a northerly direction.

A copy of the proposed Order, the relevant map and statement of reasons can be inspected during normal office hours at County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ or at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, 4 Javelin Way, Ashford, TN24 8AD, or download from the consultation document section below.
