Kent County Council (KCC) is proposing to make prescribed alterations to Kings Farm Primary School, Cedar Avenue, Gravesend DA12 5JT, subject to planning approval in order to alter the lower age range at Kings Farm Primary School to formally include nursery provision from 1 January 2018.

Why are we consulting on proposals for Kings Farm Primary School?
Over the past three years there has been an increasing demand for more nursery places. Kent County Council has a statutory duty to ensure sufficient Nursery places are available for eligible families and is supporting the Cedar Federation to provide 2 year old places by expanding the provision from a provision for 3 and 4 year olds to a provision for 2 to 4 year olds.

The Nursery has trialled accepting two year olds since September and would like to now make it a permanent change, as it has proved a popular service with the families it serves.

Kings Farm Primary School is currently undergoing a review of their latest Ofsted report judged to be Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted (November 2014).

What happens next:
The education consultation will run from 29 September 2017 to 6 Nov 2017.
