Original consultation text

Introduction

Last Summer, Kent County Council launched the Big Conversation to explore innovative and sustainable ways of providing transport to rural communities in Kent.

We have used the results of this consultation to develop a number of pilot schemes to test out the ideas. To find out more about the Big Conversation and any of the other pilot schemes, visit www.kent.gov.uk/bigconversation

We are now proposing to revise the 58 service (Addington-Maidstone) operated by Nu-Venture to provide more frequent journey opportunities for the villages currently served. To facilitate these extra journeys, the 58 service would become a feeder bus and it would no longer run all the way into Maidstone.

Two proposals have been devised which would feed into existing commercial services that run into Maidstone Town Centre. Full details of these proposals can be found in the Consultation Document, which is available from the 'Documents' section below.

Have your say

We want to hear your feedback on our proposals. No decision has been taken yet and your views are important in helping us to make a final decision.

Please tell us your views by completing the online questionnaire via the link under 'Respond' below.

In the ‘Documents’ section below you will also find our initial Equality Impact Assessments (EqIA) for this project for you to read and comment on via the consultation questionnaire.
